an arcade mech shooter made by Mashi Zaman and Mat Olson

INSTRUCTIONS:

press "the button" or spacebar to start your game

you have 3 minutes to shoot down as many enemy targets as you can! your mech is invincible, but slow to move and turn. enemy projectiles will disrupt your mech's movement!

TO MOVE: to take a step forward in the mech, throw one lever forward and the opposite back. leading with the right lever will take a step with the mech's right foot, leading with the left lever will take a step with its left

TURNING works by keeping one lever in the absolute forward or backward position and pushing the other in the opposing direction, i.e. keeping the left foot still while pushing the right lever will move the right foot and result in a left turn! and vice versa.

TO SHOOT: pull both levers all the way back while stationary to prime a cannon shot. this will switch to your mech's cockpit view. with a shot primed, push both levers forward simultaneously to shoot the cannon. you can repeatedly prime and shoot while standing still, and you can also execute turns while in the cockpit view to line up your shots. taking a step forward will exit cockpit view.
